Transport

Transport

Transport is undergoing significant transformation. A multitude of new technologies and shifts in what users want from services present Australia with the biggest transport opportunities and challenges since the 20th century’s boom in motor vehicle use.

From building and maintaining the reliable road, rail, and port infrastructure that connects regional and remote Australia to fast-growing cities and export gateways to constructing local shared pathways to meet growing community demand, Ertech is qualified and resourced to meet the growing investment in transport infrastructure.

We’ve worked with State and Local Government and private sector clients to design and construct roads, bridges, runways, nearshore marine and rail and light rail infrastructure. In doing so we have consistently demonstrated our ability to engage positively with multiple stakeholders in often complex operating environments to safely construct transport infrastructure that delivers on the needs of all stakeholders.

Road and Bridge Infrastructure

With nearly 900,000 km of roads carrying passengers and freight in some harsh regional climate, Australia has one of the most extensive road networks to extend and maintain.

Ertech is a trusted provider to both State and Local government and has a strong track record in delivering road transport projects in urban, regional and remote locations in our own capacity or in collaboration with others.  Project delivery experience has included highway, arterial and local road construction, strengthening and widening of existing roads, safety barrier installations, pavement rehabilitation, bridge and culvert upgrades and road realignments, and supporting services and infrastructure.

Ertech is a financially and technically strong Australian-owned contractor committed to growing our own, as well as industry capability to support road asset owners to enhance, extend and maintain Australia’s road network safely and cost-effectively.

Marine and Coastal Infrastructure

Australia has over 34,000 kilometres of coastline and over 1,000 estuaries. Around 50% of our population resides within only seven kilometres of the coast, making ports and other coastal infrastructure essential to our economy and community amenities.

Ertech has extensive experience working in port and nearshore environments, having delivered boat harbour and wharf upgrades, foreshore construction, jetties and seawalls (involving both land and water-based piling), structural steel and concrete, rock armour placement, heavy-duty pavements and utility installation.

A significant portion of our marine and coastal projects have been undertaken on a design and construct basis and have involved providing solutions to various challenges, including soft soils, ground improvement and stabilisation.

Aviation Infrastructure

Australia’s aviation industry plays a crucial role in connecting communities and businesses while supporting essential and emergency services and the mining and resources industry.

Our team has delivered both airside and landside airport infrastructure for private and public sector clients, including the major and regional airport operators, global oil and gas companies and the Department of Defence, with projects ranging from complete airstrips and aerodromes to landside infrastructure and forecourt redevelopment.
