Mt Lindesay Highway Interchange

Project Overview

The Project provided improved safety and traffic flow through the construction of a grade-separated interchange at Chambers Flat Road and Crowson Lane intersection with Mt Lindesay Highway.

The project required the relocation of extensive material from the western side to the eastern side of the busy highway to duplicate the carriageway and construct the grade-separated interchange.

Scope of works

  • Duplicating Mt Lindesay Highway
  • Constructing a four span bridge over the highway, linking Crowson Lane and Chambers Flat Road
  • Constructing service roads with on and off ramps from the highway to Crowson Lane and Chambers Flat Road
  • Realignment of Crowson Lane and Chambers Flat Road
  • Excavation of over 180,000m3 of material within the roadway area
  • Insitu stabilised pavements using 3% cement
  • Installing multiple cell box culverts under the highway
  • Major drainage and retention basins
  • Fauna fencing and landscaping
