project overview
The Ravensthorpe Nickel Mine is located approximately 540km south east of Perth, WA. Ertech was heavily involved in the development of the mine site’s infrastructure over a range of disciplines.
Ertech demonstrated capability in constructing the necessary infrastructure to bring the mine to production. Ertech then continued to provided services to the site whilst working alongside the mine site’s operations.

The team delivered the following infrastructure during the period:
- 18 evaporation ponds;
- Tailings dams and settling ponds totaling 1,900,000m3 of bulk earthworks and 2,300,000m2 of HDPE liner;
- 1,500 room construction camp and 300 room executive accommodation camp including building installation and all roads, paths and services;
- 40km of 710mm diameter HDPE and 20km of 650mm diameter GROP seawater pipeline including valve and pumping stations;
- 20km of miscellaneous HDPE pipe work, access roads and other services together with various concrete structures including footings, foundations and slabs;
- Sewerage pump stations.
