Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia’s Gorgon Project for over ten years.
The Gorgon project, located on Barrow Island off the coast of Western Australia comprises a three-train, 15.6 million tonnes per annum LNG facility and a domestic gas plant. The island is a Class A Nature Reserve which required stringent environmental practices, which saw Ertech develop it’s own Chevron-approved Quarantine facilities.
Ertech’s involvement with the Gorgon Project has included delivering construct only, design and construct, and minor works, as well as operational and maintenance services. Ertech has provided an integrated multi-disciplined service including earthworks, structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines.
From being one of the first contractors on the Project, Ertech has in 12 years delivered a diverse range of works including near shore marine structures, pipelines, fuel farms, site facilities, airport upgrade, fuel arms, waste and potable water, a Reverse Osmosis plant and today provides maintenance services for civil infrastructure and earthworks. An example of these works have been highlighted below.
