Feature Project
Declan took on the management of the D6 Water Storage Dam for Newmont at the Boddington Gold Mine.
The D6 water storage dam provides security of water supply to the Boddington Gold Mine. Ertech’s experience in delivering similar large-scale water storage facilities supported the team to secure the project.
In addition to some technical challenges the project delivery timeframe aligned with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which had the potential to impact the program and budget.
Declan’s strong leadership and technical competence enables the team to overcome the challenges. The team exceeded all project goals which included completing the project two months ahead of program and achieving zero recordable injuries.
