project overview
The Mt Lindesay Highway Interchange located at Munruben provided improved safety and traffic flow through the construction of a grade separated interchange at Chambers Flat Road and Crowson Lane intersection with Mt Lindesay Highway.
scope of works
The scope of works included:
- Duplication of Mt Lindesay Highway;
- Construction of a four span bridge over the highway linking Crowson Lane and Chambers Flat Road;
- Construction of service roads with on and off ramps from the highway to Crowson Lane and Chambers Flat Road;
- Realignment of Crowson Lane and Chambers Flat Road;
- Excavation of over 180,000m3 of material within the roadway area;
- Insitu stabilised pavements using 3% cement;
- Installation of multiple cell box culverts under the highway;
- Major drainage and retention basins;
- Fauna fencing and landscaping;
- Streetlighting.
