Gap Ridge Village Camp Decommissioning Contract

Project Overview

Ertech was contracted to decommission and rehabilitate the Gap Ridge Village camp site in Karratha, which consisted of 2,685 rooms and the associated above and below ground facilities and services.

Upon completion of this project, the site was visited by the very highest levels of Woodside’s Senior Management who commended Ertech on their outstanding safety and recycling performance. Ertech was able to recycle over 99% of all site material including all buildings, concrete and asphalt.

Subsequently, Ertech were awarded the contract for the decommissioning of the smaller Bay Village Camp also in Karratha.

  • Removing and recycling 700 T of steel

  • Where possible recycle and/or dispose of materials through the Karratha waste management facility
  • Rehabilitation of 60Ha with lateritic gravel
  • Provision of technical support and personnel prior to launch to assist Woodside in detailed operation planning
